Bula!

I'm throwing this idea out here on this forum.... I have 250 acres in Fiji that has 1000s of coconut trees and mahogany trees. There's a lot of open land too. I'm wondering if anyone would like to enjoy living in Fiji and help plant an orchard of mango and citrus trees. The area is also good as a pineapple farm with its rich red soil. The property has a spring, stream, and is close to the ocean. You could kayak down to the ocean. It's only 1/4 mile away.

There is no house on the property right now. It would be pretty easy to set up a small structure / home / shed.

If you haven't been to Fiji before, it one of the friendliest and happiest places I've ever been to and I've traveled a lot!

I am actively looking to relocate north to a place where it snows, but I'm also looking to relocate to more space in a similar tropical environment if given the opportunity.

- What kind of longterm benefits would result from this work, or is it the equivalent of renting? When done, get kicked off?
- Do you need to own a car to get around, haul materials, new plants, wood for building a shelter?
- How close is the nearest city with aforementioned goods?
- Why do you own the acreage? Do you profit from the fruit trees? Hedge against inflation? Investment?

I'm interested! I'll echo Jeff's questions and add: how do people get visas to stay long-term in Fiji?
