Hi everyone

I am practicing making requests to the universe to receive what I desire, so I will put my wishes for a WWOOF experience out there and see what it brings

I have been WWOOFing since January and it has been an expanding experience. What I am seeking is a long-term arrangement, over 6 months or perhaps even permanent. I would need orientation and mentorship to buildup my skills. I have some skills taking care of chicken and cattle and a bit of gardening. I have participated in a couple of minor building projects but can't claim any carpentry skills. In terms of skills I want to learn and/or continue practicing, those are low-tech gardening skills that consider and support local ecology, heart-centered animal husbandry where animals are treated as autonomous beings and their feelings and experience matter, and building/construction skills where natural materials and low-tech methods are used.

The reason for seeking a long-term arrangement is two-fold. One is that I actually want a home. I do not see myself purchasing and developing a homestead by myself, but would love to live and work on a developed/developing homestead with someone who has the tools and the skills. So something with a potential to ground my roots is most appealing. Two, I would like to see my projects through, see the animals grow, and have continuity of relationships with the land, the animals and the people. I also hope that with this long-term stay arrangement there would be motivation to nurture my growth as a homesteader by providing orientation and mentorship that are in-depth, supportive, continuous, and involve all aspects of homesteading.

Finally, relationships with people are vital. I seek to have honest, open, and direct communication. Also, I seek to move through conflict in a connected way where we share and support needs and concerns. This requires seeing value in processing together and being with discomfort together while moving toward trust and connection.

Please send a purple moosage if you want to start a conversation
