Fixed wind speed monitors/recorders?

Trying to gather wind speed data at a site for possible wind power. Is there anything affordable that could be fixed in place and record the wind averages over a period of time

Hi, perhaps check arduino hot wire anemometer for a hand held unit. Similar microcontrollers for fixed position.
