I have been asked to give a job to a senior in high school and her boy friend by my wife. Both are interested in animals and plants. He has graduated from high school while taking CTE classes on agriculture and she took some agriculture CTE classes last year and will continue to take them this year. Both are good, intelligent young adults. Last week when we met for the first time I talked about permaculture and homeopathic medicine but only in passing. Today I brought up the subject of treating animals, specifically farm animals, with plants that grow locally. Their eyes lit up! I could see things start to come together for them.
The problem is that I only have a passing knowledge of homeopathic medicine. I am not an expert. What I would like to do is have them work for me for 1 year to make sure that this is what they want. I live in the SW corner of Michigan and conventional farming is the only way of life I see. That is what is taught at the schools and with the exception of a few very basic steps in the right direction (like no tillage) farming is done like it was 100 years age except bigger is better when it comes to irrigation and tractors. After the year is up I told them that I would pay for them to take the PDC course at Paul's camp. That would be part of the payment for helping my wife and I around our place.
My question is where can I direct them after the PDC? I would love to help them get the training of how to work on/with animals using homepathic medicines. I would sincerely appreciate any help in finding titles of good books about this topic and also name(s) of people or school(s) that teach this curriculum. Thank you, Jeff

Do they plan to go to college?  There are several colleges that teach permaculture.

What about the opportunities at Wheaton Labs:
