Hello everyone !
I was disappointed with the effectiveness of a anti-varroa product that I used previously. Therefore, I prefer to turn to natural treatments, if possible.

I would like to know your experiences and recommendations regarding natural treatments to fight varroa mites. If any of you have used such methods before and had good results, I would love to hear more.

Thank you in advance for your precious help !

Cordially,
Gisele

I used Thymus oil infused in a cotton pad. It should have 90% effectiveness. But importantly, I also left the bees a lot of honey. So they overwintered with honey, not sugar.

Hive wintered well. I live in Scandinavia. I divided the hive a month ago and now both hives are doing great.

An essential oil? Or the plant infused into an oil, such as olive oil?

Thymol C10H14O
I believe mine is artificially produced, but ideally you should use an extract from Thymus Serphyllum or Thymus Vulgaris.

It was in late autumn and I was unable to source plants, so I bought the extract.
