I'm trying to design a one - acre forest garden, and I need to know some perennials ( that I can eat) to plant in it, because I just can't seem to find enough to have the diversity that accompanies forest gardens.

Hi Ben, I would be happy to give some advise. Could you post details on where your acre permie garden is located, zone, soil , etc.?

might be worth checking out Eric Toensmeier's book, Perennial Vegetables, from your local library. lots of good information in there. there are other good sources, too, but Eric did a good job of consolidating information on temperate species from a wide array of literature.

Hi, actually I'm ben and the website wouldn't let me log on, so I had to make a new one, I don't know the zone, I live in central Indiana, and my soil is mainly clay.
