About 4 years ago I discovered my passion with farming and the life style that comes with it. Unfortunately, I live in NYC and have tried my hand at farming a small 1/4 acre plot about an hour north from here with very little success. My failures only fuel my desire to learn more. I am looking for a 12 month Permaculture farm/course where I can live and learn as many aspects to Permaculture as possible. My goal is to leave with the ability to design and operate a farm anywhere in the world. I have tried to contact Rak Tamachat Permaculture in Thailand, they are the only center I could find offering a full year practitioner course, but I have yet to hear back from them and it's been quite sometime. I would prefer someplace where farming can be done year round. Please reply if you have ideas, experience, or you are a center that offers education and are looking for a long term worker/student. Thanks.

If you go to the WWOOFer website look up my ARsenal Ave EcoCenter, or google it for a short video our last WWOOFer made.
We can always use someone who can not only work on the land but is interested in some of the longer range planning needed to bring others onboard.
Other than that I think Indpls is ripe to host a permaculture course so if you or anyone else wants to help sign up some speakers/activists I have a potential new property --1.92 acres with house, barn, carriage house chicken coop etc in the city/suburbs that could use some people power to transform to a life-giving place of activity. For current updates see my blog
www.peaceacres.blogspot.com.
good luck in your search.
