Hello everyone and nice to meet you! My name is Aliyah and I've been wanting to homestead since I first learned about it back in 2016. I ended up falling down a bit of a pipeline after watching a video on tiny homes(I would like one of those as well) and being introduced to the concept of permaculture through it.  Life has been taking me down a different but not completely unrelated path, so I've decided to stockpile as much info as I can for now. I like to collect crystals and learn about medicinal herbs as a hobby and am considering attending an ethnobotanical school after I finish my undergrad.

Thanks and don't be a stranger!

Hello Aliyah and welcome to Permies!

Did you already find the tiny house forum in the Building category?

I’m trying to learn as much as I can about medicinal herbs too, and when I found Permies and the medicinal herbs forum in the kitchen category I felt like I just hit the jackpot. Go have a look if you already have not, it’s amazing!
If you’re looking for information on some herb in particular, easiest solution is to use the advanced search and type in the name of the herb and then choose the medicinal herbs forum from the ”Search forum(s)” dropdown menu.

Here’s the How Permies.com works - links to useful threads thread, it can be nice to have at hand when diving into Permies.

Welcome!

I immediately went straight to the tiny house forum after posting my introduction. Been hanging around for a couple of hours at this point, it's lovely. I'll have to reorient myself for the medicinal herbs. Hold my tea, I'm going in!

Just don’t get too overwhelmed in there! I know I did, for a while, when I found these forums..

There were a few nights when I said to myself ”I’ll just read this thread and then go to sleep” and then two hours later I find myself deep in some kind of a similar threads rabbit hole.

Oh, by the way, your tea is cold now.
