I discovered their website a while back - it is a fascinating concept. I particuarly liked the powercube -

The Power Cube is a modular, universal, self-contained power unit consisting of an engine coupled to a hydraulic pump, providing power from hydraulic fluid at high pressure through quick connect hoses. It is designed to function as a modular and interchangeable power supply for GVCS technologies.

The modular capability of it seemed great to me. Being able to chain it only another of the cubes for added power, and also it being a completely transferable power supply, oh man.

Now my next challenge is to find someone in QLD/NSW, Australia who is interesting in putting some of the theory into practice with me! A man with no land and little money, but heaps of enthusiasm, has limited options when it comes to fabricating equipment.

I did not find it through the Permies site - I believe I was researching wood gasifiers, and then discovered that they had built an open source gasifier too. No need to say sorry, it is great that permies is being exposed to this information! I really wish I could find people near me who would like to get involved with testing some of it
