"For those who don’t know, historybounding is the act of incorporating historical or history-inspired clothing into your day-to-day fashion choices. This can involve subtle touches, entire historical wardrobes and everywhere in between. "

I'm probably the last kid on the block to bump into this concept, but it just seems so timely. Between my finally getting a sewing room (

The Re:Fashion Wardrobe (

Another of those concepts is the capsule wardrobe, which makes so much sense. Combine that with my penchant for buying all my clothing from thrift stores, plus Portia Lawrie's emphasis on re-fashioning used garments, and I feel like i'm hitting on some answers to my dilemmas. (One of which is how easy it is to buy too many clothes when they only cost a couple of dollars.)
I've been going through the wardrobe evaluation process, but have been stuck at finding my personal "style." I took a couple of
online style quizzes, was given a named style and a link to see examples, but yuk. How did they get that style from those questions? Apparently, even my style isn't my style.
Discovering this new word (historybounding)
led to browsing related videos and coming up with ideas I really like. Ideas I think I can use.
All practical ideas that, I think, can be adapted for everyday wear. And I think I have the resources so I won't have to buy much, if anything.
On to a new adventure, eh?
