On a neighborhood website a lady is asking for people to collect their corn silk and share it with her. She has bladder cancer and her oncologist is recommending corn silk to help with that problem. A quick google search shows that corn silk has been used for bladder and kidney infections. And there was
a study that found that a methanol extract of it could kill breast cancer cells.
Once we start harvesting corn (probably this weekend) we will set the silk aside and drop it off at her house.
