My partner and I have recently purchased a 20 acre plot with a home. We are seeking like- minded enthusiasts that would like to collaborate and help brainstorm design, layout, and even provide much needed experience and or advice. We are located in Modoc County (near Alturas.) Some ideas we have involve mob grazing, swales, perineal systems, and water harvesting. We have roughly a year before our waitlisted sheep arrive, and we would love to get started on brainstorming ideas for pasture, irrigation, and overall design. We would also love to hear from anyone with experience with animals and animal husbandry. Any and all welcome. If from out of town, we are able to host 1-2 people currently. We have minimal hands-on experience and would love to hear from others.
