Here in the Amazon jungle natives use PALm leaf for making their roofs, the problem is that they tend to attract insects and it also generates dirt that fall inside The house.
I want to fabricate a house using a mix of techniques basically digital fabrication and tradicional ways of building so thats why i was thinking about using PALm leaf roofs, what do You think ? Do You think it's a good idea or maybe there are better ways?
How can i avoid insects and dirt?
I am not sure about how to avoid insects in palm-leaf roofs.
Do folks there not put down rood sheathing aka roof decking before adding the palm leaves? Maybe more expensive though seems like this would help with bugs, dirt, and dust.
