Newbie Holzer pig feed question

Howdy,

Just looking at Holzer's new book, Desert or Paradise, and he alludes to a recipe of "leftover kitchen waste, mixed with beans and if left standing overnight will release an irresistible smell for the pigs." May be a dumb question, but would this mean cooked or raw beans? He also said, regarding attracting pigs to a digging site that "corns, peas and broad beans work really well." Same question, raw or cooked?

Howdy J, I will take a shot at it, not sure how Sepp does it, but when we had pigs we would soak the grains in water overnight to soften them up. Guess that is why it was called slop.
