Today I branded a lookout on our stacked stone wall that dates from the 1800s, when the Scots-Irish built it.  There are large stones steps that I hope to clear off this winter, along with restacking parts of the wall.

The house (not from the 1800s!) has so many problems that were not disclosed to us.  Judging from all the collections mail addressed to the previous resident, going after them for the non-disclosures would be futile.  Husband says he would've bought it anyway, just for the wall and its historical significance -- but we'd have offered a lot less money
