we are getting ready to build on our property in texas.going off grid and starting from the ground up.we have room for others who are willing to teach, share, learn.
we own the land free and clear.we intend to move to the property in late july to early september.we have some basic supply and have inspected the property.there is a small podunk town 9 miles away and water internet and power nearby as well. we are going to be building an earthship. feel free to email me if your interested. skills, a willingness to learn or teach togeather is important.we will be building a school on the property as well.

Howdy Cliff, welcome to permies. Sounds like you are going to have a great place. Are those pictures of things you have built?

i wish lol. no those 2 pics up top are some pics to give people a visual incase they dont know what anearthship is. we did go to the toas newmexico earthship community and rent an earthship for a day and a nite. working on putting togeather a video for the web on that journey.taking time to do that because we dont put pics of our son on the web.i have been in the field of study of green/self sustainable living for about 5 years in the active sense and longer in the non active sense of it. thank you for the reply. do you know what an earthship is?
if not check youtube and put in earthship 101 its 11 minutes long and gives a good brief overview. if your like me you will get very lost in the links to other vids about earthships

i we like them very much.while there are several goals we have for this journey, one of them is to find out just how close we can get to a 100% recycled living style.
meaning that we believe we can get to a point where we find a way to reuse everything we dont need for one thing into something els.there are a couple of things we are learning to build that we dont talk tomuch to others about do to the state of affairs in this world right now.however we will be talking to thepeople in person who decide that this situation is one that will work for them.
what about you? what are your gaols? we would like to build a sustainable community where the people living on the same land have there own way of doing things but with the commen element of being off grid and self sustainable.

we will start out with our 26' winnebago and an adittion on the side of it.
i have pretty pic in my head also of having old bath tubs and hot tubs for planters
and things of that nature.
