hello, I'm a 26 year old mother who has been moving from place to place since the birth of my child. What is very frustrating is my family has a house, but it needs to be repaired. It has a severely leaking roof and that's about it. its unlivable, but promising. It is built in an L shape, with the older part cinderblock construction and the newer part regular wood construction. My ideal would be to build an addition to square off the building, and replace the entire roof somehow, hopefully to have attic space. I want a house that relies on natural methods to get its energy. I like the idea of rammed earth construction, cob, or straw bale. I don't have experience in construction but I'm a fast learner and a hard worker, and I have a HUGE family that would be willing to come and work. I have no idea how much this will cost but am saving money as we speak. I am looking for someone who knows about construction and is willing to accept payments in installments. we are located in southwest wisconsin.
