Problems with Galvalume for roofing?

I'm getting conflicting info about whether to use galvanized metal or Galvalume for roofing with rain catchment in mind. A very experienced permie friend tells me that Galvalume will eventually start leaching out aluminum and zinc. Zinc - good, aluminum - bad. I checked online and found that Galvalume coating is 55% aluminum and zinc. But then, I went to Brad Lancaster's website and he recommends it in his roofing section. Any thoughts?

There is no good roof catchment material. Its just that Galvalume is least bad.

Iterations are fine, we don't have to be perfect
My 2nd Location:Florida HardinessZone:10 AHS:10 GDD:8500 Rainfall:2in/mth winter, 8in/mth summer, Soil:Sand pH8 Flat
