hello fellow permies, i have a map idea for good examples of locally adapted permaculture-type habitats. this is for anybody interested in that to get ideas/inspiration from (perhaps with reviews/ratings from a few select Permaculture critics, or permies senior members?). there would be a map (like the permacultureglobal.org or WWOOFUSA.org sites for examples) of good, & even (literally) award-winning, best examples of locally-adapted permaculture-type habitats for others (but especially locals) to get ideas/inspiration from. the map could also include filters/tag-labels such as “unsustainable site transitioned*,” "certified (historical) ecological baseline maintained,"...

lot of possibilities for the development of this kind of permaculture sites global map right? any thoughts?

*this is quite detailed for this post here, but maybe there can be inclusion of the previous unsustainable land use that was transitioned, such as an industrial park, misguided commercial zone, misguided agribusiness land use, crazy high carrying capacity / super dense apartment building requiring much importation of resources/energy from another land, etc.

That is a great idea!

A lot of times I read that folks want to visit permaculture sites and want to know where to find them.

Please let us know when your map is finished.

"when my map is finished"? huh? no anne, i was just giving an idea here. of course, if i had enough support (like other interested/motivated smart people and some money), then sure, i can work on it. anyone want to put this together, contact me, and we can discuss the possibility further
