I went looking for where someone might have built a double long barrelstove, but si far, nothing.
The reason to build such a thing would be improved firebox capacity and room for secondary burn to occur.
Cleaning out ash could be a challenge...

The Amish build them.  Long enough for whatever sawmill waste is produced local. Use a garden hoe as an ash scraper.

Aha!
I figured some one has done this.
Thanks, I'm gonna look for some references.
I think I could add an inner retort made from a water heater tank, to produce biochar.

Did you end up making one? My Dad was talking about having extra hot water heaters and wondering if he could do something similar.

Nah, it's on the list.
My supply of water heaters dried up(lol), but I think they make superior burn chambers.
Their metal is thick and there's no paint to deal with.
They make great trough style retorts, just by cutting a big slot down one side.

I figured on a  loose plug of concrete for the inner retort, with no fancy piping, just some holes drilled in the bottom side to release gasses into the wood fire.
That's the configuration that "Charcoal Charlie" landed on.

Then YOU must do the pig's work! Read this tiny ad. READ IT!
