Hello, I recently purchased some land in southeastern KY and am interested starting an eco-community. If there are any people that are interested, please let me know. To be clear, this will be an ongoing building process, and a totally new startup. I'm looking for people that have skills and want to build from the ground up.

Hi! My name is Peter. I am new to, but serious about, this lifestyle. I may not have experience in the things you need help with, and I understand if that means I’m not a good fit. I’m hard-working and eager to learn, though, and would be happy to give all my mind and energy to this pursuit. I’d want to join in the next 1-2 months, if possible. I don’t have a lot to bring with me, but I believe if given the chance to learn and help I could be a good fit. Please feel free to reply, message, or e-mail me anytime.

Hello, I have some basic knowledge and practice in permaculture.  I have been gardening/landscaping for 20+ years. I live in Kentucky already. What are you looking for exactly?

I have 5+ years of gardening and livestock experience as well as having a library of information on many different trades that I have experience in. I currently own my own landscaping, garden, and tree service business. My wife and I desperately want to move to Kentucky, Kansas, Tennessee, Arkansas, West Virginia and Ohio. We are pursuing a live on-site work/trade position. I specialize in low-budget survival gardening. If interested, please call/text Mark at Mowers&Growers 928-641-8565. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Hi Connie and the others!

While I'm not curently looking or able to join or host long term at other's places, or my place - I am open to "camp" type (weekend or several days) get togethers where some excellent land steward techniques and ideas can be talked about and practiced.

Possible work/barter type things revolving around certain realms of land maintenence, garden prep/harvest etc. ?

Robertson County Ky here, and leaning more towards the natural/indigenous concepts moving forward. I do currently have some pretty capable equipment but utilizing it properly, maintenence, paying for it, and morally accepting the realities of it can be challenge.

If land owners within 50 miles or so have funds to to pay for suxh services like small backhoe, shank ripping, access roads, garden installs, leveling, terracing, small pond, bush hogging, etc then I can possibly assist. If not, then more of a simple "shovel by hand" barter approach might also work out!

This is just my little attempt at joining in to make eastern KY hopefully a better place for people and ecosystems so figured saying something is better than nothing.
