Happy Sunday folks! I'm looking for more help to find more varieties of Chesapeake heirloom crops from Native Americans and early settlers besides Virginia Orinco tobacco, Virginia gourdseed corn and that red wheat. I've heard that there's a melon from Ann Arandel county Maryland, but don't know whether it's from Native Americans or settlers. I have a cousin from Baltimore and had a great inspiration from my trip to the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland. Any of you know of any more heirloom crops from the Chesapeake area of Maryland? I'm looking for all the help I can get to accomplish one of my gardening projects next year to honor my trip to the Chesapeake and my love for my cousin. Please reach me if you need me. Take care!
