Posting here because of my current complicated situation and desire. I've posted on here looking for a new opportunity in a homestead/intentional community lifestyle but I thought I'd post on this forum too in my universal search for the right place/friend/partner. I'm seeking to escape this capitalistic/law-based hellscape but this is a new adventure for me and I'm not experienced in living naturally or off-grid. I've simply been making simplistic posts and searches like beacons so maybe the right/fated circumstance would make itself known to me. I'm looking for something but I'm not sure what. I want to disappear from modern society and live a life wherein my work and deeds contribute to and feed directly into my daily life and needs. Maybe I need a teacher, or maybe a friend/partner searching blindly for the same thing. My name is Peter, I'm 37, and while I'm currently in the central southern US I'm open to ending up anywhere in the US. I'm an avid reader and writer. I have a deep knowledge of literature, comics, movies, and music, among other things. I've felt different and displaced since I was 5, or better yet dating back to my earliest and formulative memories. I've always felt alone, even in crowded rooms. I'm introverted and somewhat antisocial according to my own preferences, but I often have a lot to say and can act in a very outgoing fashion. Like I said, this is an abstract SOS or a beacon for someone or someplace to show up and, in a way, illuminate my path, so if anything about me or my post strikes you do not hesitate to contact me. If it feels right, maybe it is. When you hear a song or watch a movie that will become your favorite, sometimes you just know. Contact me if you want to know me or if you believe you can help me on my way. I'm looking for somewhere to call home, to live away from society, and to make a deeper connection with nature and sustainable living a reality. I hope you're having a good night or day when this finds you.

Hi Peter    if you are interested in high plains desert living this might be a good opportunity for you. I am currently looking for a property care taker to run things when I have to go out of town ( generally once a month for 4-5 days) for work related activities.  Easy peasy actually 👌  we have 4 chickens, 5 cats and 3 dogs that need to be cared for during that time, as well as tending the gardens in the summer time, the rest of the time is yours to do what you want  will turn into a paid position as we develop the property further- this is a ground floor opportunity for the right person. Hit me back for questions and details.
Take care and good luck with your endeavors
Sincerely
Robb Wright  aka Repurpose Robb

Hi Robb! Are you offering someone the chance to stay there, or is this only for the days you're gone? I'm looking for someplace I can sleep and work for food too possibly. Feel free to message me anytime.

Hi Robb, I'm curious to what all are you looking to create on your property? Also, as was already asked, are you offering living arrangements on said property, and is it close to other places that one can find employment on free days?

The ultimate goal is an intentional  community that is off the grid & 100% sustainable. It was raw land in 2011 when I bought it and I've been building the infrastructure ever since. We are still building out here but I do have structures to stay in ( camp trailer, rv, and bus ), all 3 being remodeled currently, with plans for 2 mini cabins starting this summer. The closest town is 11 miles away, the closest major city is Cortez at about 58 miles away. We are on Google maps and have a Facebook page: Lil Hatu Ranch. If you want seclusion it doesn't get much better than this. If you have your own living structure even better but we have options if not. We compost, haul or collect our water, grow food and medicine in our gardens, raise chickens and soon goats & sheep,  with cows  and horses on the long list. We are still in the infantile stage of this ranch with many projects to do still- finish 2 greenhouses and break ground on a shop plus the mini cabins. For the caretaker position rent will be zero and could turn into a paid position as the ranch progresses. Others can be negotiated for a next to nothing deal depending on the level of participation for each individual. I intend on being prepared for whatever comes in the unpredictable future. Serenityecovillage@gmail.com is our email and 801 637 9637 is our phone  - feel free to hit me up as text kinda blows for info sharing 😀 I hope this helps 😊 🙏
