Hello everyone,
I'm excited to be a part of this group! I recently have found myself having more time to dedicate to my gardening passion. I live in the greater Chicago area and have recently tried to challenge myself by diving more into the world of gardening and blogging. I'm excited to learn more about the good and the bad about gardening in such a cold and windy area like Chicago.
Thanks for letting me introduce myself, and I look forward to chatting and interacting with all of you here.
Hi Kathy;
Big Welcome to Permies!
I'm afraid I do not have much to say about gardening, other than Hugle raised bed.
I am one of the Permies Rocket Scientists.
Surely in the cold windy city, you could find a use for a rocket mass heater!
Pop on over to the RMH forum and read all about them!

Welcome to Permies. I used to live in Elgin. Can you be more specific as to here you live. Due to the lake as well as the city itself, Chicagoland has many microclimates. Even knowing if you were N, S, W or the loop and how far from the lake would help. How much space do you have available for gardening?
I want to be 15 again …so I can ruin my life differently.
The only cure for that is hours of television radiation. And this tiny ad:
