To the denizens of the stars that it may concern,

Long ago, in a galaxy far far away, I dreamed of having a beautiful homestead on this earth.

But alas, the constraints of time and space forced me into the wormhole of responsibilities.

I became an adult being and had to reckon with the evils of capitalism and survival.

I left the dream behind. That was over a decade agao.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Long story short, i want to get back on the bandwagon.

I want to work and learn and grow in that direction.

I'm looking for hire on your accommodable farm, homestead, or acreage.

I want to be paid for my work, because i want to be able to pay for my own land someday.

I think we all owe it to future generations to pay it forward. To give what we have received.

So please reach out to me and let's talk. I would love to get to know each other.

Sincercely and much obliged,

- Joey, 26 years old (not an alien)

Hi Joey - welcome to Permies!
I assume you've already looked on our jobs offered forum to see if anything there looks interesting. Do you have any location restrictions at all?
If nothing else turns up, you may want to consider going to Paul's place: Wheaton Laboratory, to volunteer and get relevant experience (building, growing, developing skills). The Boots (Bootcamp!) start as volunteers, but there is a potential route to land if you find a good fit there. Here for more info on Bootcamp, here for more info on Wheaton labs.

Joey,
Are you still looking? I have some land in southern Oregon I am looking for help on.

What are your skill sets and interests?

keep an eye out for scorpions and black widows. But the tiny ads are safe.
Switching from electric heat to a rocket mass heater reduces your carbon footprint as much as parking 7 cars
