Had a new angus baby this evening and it's right eye is blood red. When reflecting the flashlight it looks as if the whole eye is red. He seems to track with the eye so I don't think he is blind. Any ideas?

If he was just born it could be from the stress of being born. He might have come out with that eye rubbing on the ground. I would evaluate the situation in a week. Even if he is blind in one eye he will still probably be a healthy animal. Let us know what happens.

Tim,

That is great to hear. Glad he's doing OK. What type of cattle do you raise and where are you?

We are trying to have angus cross, but right now a few different breeds, an a angus bull...we just got into cows last spring, so trying to build a nice little herd for ourselves. We are located west of Spokane Washington

If you send it by car it's a shipment, but if by ship it's cargo. This tiny ad told me:
