Community in central NY state

Hi,
I've been a member here for years, but haven't spent much time on the forums.  We have an off grid homestead surrounded by state forest in central NY state that we have been working for 16 years, and just bought a farm down the road.  We are starting a nature-based church/community there living and teaching a more sustainable life based on permaculture, living simply, holistic grazing of dairy cows, nutrient dense veggie fruit and nut production, and renewable energy.

Anyhow it is a bit quiet here now with just a couple of us working on projects on the land.  There is quite a bit of cleared (low fertility) land ready to be converted to some form of agriculture.  We are looking for apprentices for the season, as well as a family to join us on the land down there.

I'm up to a similar project in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont and I just wanted to say that I liked your listing on ic.org very much and that I wish you many blessings. It is a wonderful opportunity you are offering! I hope one day to form a kind of network in which member groups of several families can bounce to different communities,  to help build and share knowledge, kinda like Amish barn raising but for whole seasons.

Thanks!  We lived up there for 1/2 a year, outside of Enosburg Falls, not really the NE kingdom, but not far away.  I like the idea of a network where we can bounce around, but for better or worse we have a hard time leaving because of the cows.  People moving between communities could bring trade items with them.  Also, it would be neat to see your project.
