This showed up courtesy of my YT algorithm.  It looks worth the experiment as it looks plausible that helping draw electricity from the air to be grounded around one's garden would seem, ahem, energizing to plants.

Anybody tried this or similar before?

To wit: in this short, an older man shows how he has wound what appears to be copper wire up and around each of several wooden dowels that he has driven into the soil of his garden.  In the video, some clusters of green strawberries are shown as 'proof'.  I think there was one comment that also professed that this helped a plant (a money plant) produce effusively.

I've had someone suggest it to me before and I was working HVAC at the time so I had access to a lot of copper tubing waste I could have repurposed. Problem is on Kauai we maybe get 2-3 lightning storms a year and the weeds grow so incredibly fast that having copper wire rods in the ground would be causing me more of a hassle then it'd be worth.
