I poked around, but wasn't sure where best to put this.  This is possibly as good a place as any.

Since purchasing our acreage in 2008, I've always enjoyed the variety of birds we see and have been prompted into purchasing ID guides and poking around to learn more.

Here are some photos from Thursday, May 9.  All were shot with a Nikon D3500 using a 70-300 mm lens.  Photos have just been cropped and resized.

I didn't get shots of common grackle, mourning dove, nor American goldfinch that day, but they are regularly around.  The last couple years, we've had a Canada goose couple attempt to nest near our dugout, but the nest was predated.  I also heard killdeer.

Nice

I'm in Central Saskatchewan, we have robins all year 'round

Give them feed and they stay

crabapple varieties that don't drop, and certain berry trees....   that's all they need

I grew up about halfway between Saskatoon and PA.  Back in the day I'm not aware of any staying year round, but do recall hearing about geese staying in Regina with open water.
