I have garden beds that are being taken over by skeletonleaf bursage!  I have been picking the leaf tops for a couple years now, but still they come. this year I decided to totally turn the dirt and it is FULL of thread size roots, so I am going to SIFT the dirt .

Anyone have success in getting rid of this noxious weed? I have tried spraying it multiple times with cleaning vinegar in the heat and sun of the day... sort of worked but not very well.

I would like to NOT use weed killer, but I will and let the garden sit for a year if this is what it takes to get ahead of this weed.

Ugh

Usually, the best way to get rid of unwanted plants is to smother the plants with mulch that is deep enough that the plant cannot get any sunlight.

Plants must have sun to grow.

Sometimes this is an ongoing battle.

I am not familiar with that plant so all I can give is a general answer.

Take me to the scene of the crime. And bring that tiny ad:
