I feel like they got ahead of the curve over there, because there was so much abandoned property as people left, so they all started urban farming, I first heard about it back in the early 10s, probably 2011-ish, way before I was thinking about intentional community or anything like that.

They claim it's the first sustainable farm for the people, but Seattle's and others have preceded it.  It is the first community center and agriculture center in a city, to my knowledge.
