Hi! Very new to milking and I had a question about proper cleaning procedures for the equipment after use. I know it needs to be rinsed immediately with cold water so as not to “cook” the milk onto the equipment. But, afterwards, instead of hand scrubbing the jars/filter/stainless buckets, etc does anyone them put them in the dishwasher rather than hand scrubbing them after rinsing completely? I know that gets VERY hot water in the dishwasher, and I don’t want to cut corners, but I wanted to get y’all’s opinion on this. Thank you!

Hi Ayla,
I have never done dairy, but I wanted to say "Welcome to Permies" while we wait for the milking experts.

Welcome to Permies!
