I am looking for people to share this with in an arrangement similar to the ant village, you get a piece of land and in return you help out with chores, details to be arranged, also details regarding produce from trees, animals, tools, machines, cars etc.

I have two pieces of land in central Portugal, one is 7ha (17 acres) with mostly olive trees and a spectacular view, the other is 2.5 ha (6 acres) with many different fruit trees, a citrus grove with oranges, clementines, tangerines, mandarins, grapefruit, also figs, persimmons, pears, apples, quince, apricots, pomegranate, plums, grapes and maybe I forgot some. I took a few pictures at different times of the year.

I am currently alone on the land and I didn't have the money to do much and also for many tasks a second or third person makes things a lot easier. I can now earn some money but that requires me to be away from the land, which makes it practically impossible to have animals. I am therefor looking for a long term arrangement (provided we get along) with people who can take care of the land while I get the money for earthworks, structures, machines, animals, plants and so on.

On a side note, I am in my mid sixties, no kids and I plan to put everything in a trust, so the land can continue to be a permaculture farm

Please don't answer to the post but PM me for more details if you are interested.

Hi Monika,
I'm happy to see someone posting in the Iberia sub forum. We are located in the south of Spain and have some land already, so it's not for us. But exciting to see things happening in a similar climate.
I hope you keep us posted with how things go, as the gathering and documenting of information and experiences is one of the strengths of the forum in my opinion. That gets lost when the details are only found in PMs.

Good luck in finding some good ants!

(I added your post to the "community " - "rural" subforum as well, maybe someone will find it through that route.

Are you registered with "workaway" by any chance? That might be another route to get in contact with interested people.

Hi Benjamin,
thanks for your post and for adding my post to the other subforum. I don't know workaway but I'll look it up, thanks for the suggestion.

When I said to use PM I meant for things like phone numbers or email adresses, I saw people posting those in the forum before. Other, more general posts are of course welcome. I'm sorry I didn't express that clearly.

Yeah. What he said. Totally. Wait. What? Sorry, I was looking at this tiny ad:
