Hi,
I have a 5 year old Wolf River
apple tree that I'm allowing to bear fruit for the first time. The tree has smaller fruit than I expected. The apples from the tree are large, but not nearly as large as others that I've seen come from other
local Wolf River
Trees. I've seen some in the past that are probably twice the size as the ones from my tree.
I was wondering if this size might be attributed to the tree being young? Will the tree produce larger fruit as it gets older?
I was also wondering how the climate affects the size of Wolf River apples? It was very hot here with a dry second half of the summer. Does anyone else have smaller than usual apples this year?
Thanks for any replies!
Have a great day!
