I remember some strange things when I am feeding the livestock.

Anyway, I had to make a business trip from the southern tip of Illinois to Atlanta.  This would be an 8 hour drive. Anyone who has used the Atlanta airport understands why I decided to drive.  Besides the airport is on the south side, and I would be working on the north side in the Buckhead area.  So, early in the AM I hop in my Ranger and begin the drive.  Of course, this is during  Firestone/Ford issues. And, maybe 30 miles south I have two flat tires …in front of a tire dealership that is just opening it doors.

$200 later I am on the road again. I am not happy, so when I am near a casino at the Ohio River, I pull in to vent. I immediately hit for a little over $200.00.  I reach The Atlanta motel and the manager needs to talk to me.  It seems that earlier in the day a little old lady decided to park her car in my reserved room. Oh yes, there is a major convention in town and no rooms for a 30 mile radius.

Even though they are holding a room for me 30 miles away, the motel I want is across the street from the business I will be working at.  I ask to see the room.  Yes, the window is boarded up. I ask if the bed is ok ..it is.  Shower? Toilet?   All ok.  I take the room.   No charge.   Oh yes, they add 50,000 honor points to my card.

So I have 2 free tires and 2 free rooms at he end of a day that started horrible.
