I've been looking into raising rabbits and cuy in colonies rather than in individual cages, and I wanted to see if y'all had any thoughts about/experience with doing so with either. To note, my goal would be to raise them for meat.

As a secondary question, would it be possible to have both colonies living together in the same area, or would the two intermingling be an issue? My instinct is that it probably isn't the best idea, but then again mixed flocks of poultry can work, so I figured I'd ask.

Thanks!
