hi!
i'm new to this online community and not very adept...
i posted the below a few days ago in response to someone who owns a large swath near portland or (and won't like know if someone replies, as i'm THAT bad with technology, it seems...). i don't think their thing fits fully for me (they seemed to be looking for folks to live on their property for good rent etc...?, whereas i'm interested in my own land in community with other like-minded folks.

the following links from IG pretty much sum up my perfect ideal. while this person's in austraila, i'm sure folks must be doing/thinking about this in the states. i'm specifically looking for west of the cascades--portland/vancouver being ideal, as i'd like to be near an international airport and metropolitan culture etc... right now, i'm completely in the dark on this topic and am looking for folks who have experience with this, or have legal land use/zoning knowledge and can help me find my way...would love to learn from someone!
cheers,
cyn

what i sent a few days ago:
Hi.
Just seeing this a few yrs late. I’m someone who needs to find folks who are actively creating/have created land sharing agreements that would allow for independent ownership within community. I’m not a farmer, but love gardening and want to learn more, and have identified clear paths toward sustainable living that also allow for independence. Co-housing options don’t seem to fit my particular needs, but being near/around multi-generational community and the ability to grow food for sustenance is key. I’m wondering if you might have some leads I could follow to find my way…?
In solidarity,
Cyn Short

While there are several cohousing and small homeshare intentional communities in Portland, and a couple in the burbs, there aren't a lot of landbased communities.  Consider looking on ic.org and also continue to participate here, you might find a fit where land is co-owned.  Buying property in this area is spendy in general.

welcome to the forum!

I feel the best way to learn about land shares is to get out and try it.

Here are some previous post about land shares in Vancouver that you might try contacting to see if there is still some interest:
