...just a place for me to post pics of flowers that I come across throughout the year.   Feel free to post pics of pretty/interesting flowers you come across ... especially if you let us know what the plant is!

That one is more for butterflies ...scarlet sage.
It looks a little like flame acanthus, I will post pics when it blooms, and that's what Hummingbirds come out for

Cloudy, rainy, and WARM today!  Nice.  I kicked all my plants out of greenhouse for this rain.  These dandelions seemed to glow on this misty day

Veronica aka Speedwell
Lots of medicinal uses, more info here:

https://practicalselfreliance.com/speedwell-veronica-sp/

I was drawn to it because of the cute little flower.  Veronica is a ground cover in my garden that disappears as other plants fill in

Tree planted from seed by a friend of mine.  The peaches are medium small, and tasty.  Blooms are so pretty.  Now is the time to watch for peach tree groves and dewberry patches ...locate them by the blooms!

Now is the time to pinpoint your dewberry/blackberry patch if ypu live in Texas.  Watch for accessible areas with lots of these flowers, and remember to go back there in 4 to 5 weeks

Texas bluebonnets are sparse so far in my area ...its been a dry spring so far.

These need a thinner coat of woodchips ...too thick and the bluebonnets wont poke thru.

Spiderworts and mallow dont mind thick layers of chips tho.
