I'm in the middle of a major coop/run rethink and I needed to make some choice that would effect the internal temperatures and humidity of my coop.

Here is a short video about would I figured out.

Heating a coop has been on my mind this last year. Here in Tennessee my mother does not heat her chicken coop. Happily I can report that the new Polish chickens we were worried about all survived the winter, and furthermore have now begun laying. I hope we are south enough that they will live good long chicken lives. Heating will probably not ever be an option in my mother's scenario.
