It has worked to speed the healing of cystic acne spots as well as cleared up itchy pink patches of candida (yeast infections) on the skin in our house!

"It" is simply about a tablespoon of olive or avocado oil that has had a pressed garlic clove marinating in it for three days or so. Shelf-stable for many weeks at least, it is very powerful without burning the skin. (Ringworm [a skin fungus] in the family was once cured by taping raw garlic to the spot overnight, but that burned away the fungus AND the skin, eek!, so we know not to use garlic straight these days!) I plan to try this on minor cups and scrapes now that it's warm enough to play outside again.

If you are in the Southwestern desert you can make ointments or soaks with the creosote bush for its antibiotic/antifungal properties.  I also use it as a steam for sinus infections.  I am accustomed to buying Chinese herbs for ailments but didn't want to keep sending Besos my pesos. I picked up a medicinal foraging book from John Slattery (who also offers courses).   Now instead of ordering from Amazon I go for a walk.  Quicker than Prime!!
