I am trying to transition from working 100 hours per week down to 70 hours per week. At the same time, several folks are insistent on taking sundays off. So I am trying to follow suit - with the exception of workshops.

Naturally, there are still lots of things going on everyday that need to be dealt with.

I have started to cut more days from 14 to 16 hours down to 12 hours per day. And I am trying to work even less on sundays. Last sunday I stopped working at about 3pm.

So if you are here on Sunday, expect a low productivity day.

Paul, I cut back to 12 hour days for two reasons -safety and a concession to age. After 12 hours I tend to start making mistakes, slip ups, etc. The last thing i need is to be laid up by an accident. Being in my mid-60s, I wear out faster. But that doesn't mean I stop and go to bed. Nope. I use the time not laboring as personal time. Read books and mags. Make plans and plots. Search the Internet. Email friends. Work on my blog. Devise the schedule for the next workshop. Fitter around on a craft project.

Currently I work five 12 hour days then two 3 hour days. Works for me. But its not all that uncommon for me to host a workshop n one of those 3 hour days, so I do cheat.
