I am a 28 year old male who lives in Northern Va. I discovered permaculture today while surfing the web on my break at work. I have been miserable in my every day life for some time now. But each and every day I get up and go to work to a job I don't like. I am a Technology recruiter. I have been thinking for some time now that maybe there were people out there who just wanted to live off the land and who were not afraid of hard labor and I believe that my belief in that is what lead me to this site. I remember some of the happiest times of my life was when I worked at the Merry Field Garden center loading dock when I was 17. I am looking for advice on how I would find a place to live and perhaps a job around that area so I can finally have a chance to be happy myself and forget all the stresses of living in a tech driven world. Don't get me wrong I don't wish to live without technology, I just don't want it being the driving factor in my life. I want a more simple life that I can enjoy and feel accomplished at the end of each day. If anyone has any advice or knows someone who is hiring or has a room for rent please let me know. as far as what I can do, I can do anything, I have always been a jack of all trades.
