Interesting video on root development on tomato and brassica plants when potting on in different ways - little root disturbance through to 'mega ripped'

Spoiler - they didn't seem to mind severe root disturbance (but could have done with potting on again sooner!)

I try to grow most things starting where I want them to end, rather than transplanting them from indoors to small pots outdoors to big pots outdoors, etc. That way I disturb them as little as possible. I mean sometimes things need transplanted, but I'd rather do as little of that as possible.

I try to grow most things where I want them because I am lazy! All that pricking out and potting on - I leave it too late and the plant suffers. However some plants just wouldn't survive being sown direct, or need a longer growing season than I can give them.
