I've been a somewhat active couchsurfer for years. I have met my wife there, I made lots of friends around the globe.
Unfortunately the site got worse and worse (paywall, creeps, etc).
There seems to be an alternative now:
https://couchers.org/. But of course there's not many people yet.
If any permie ever needs a couch (actually a private guest room) in the Granada region of Andalucia, feel free to contact me.
