Mandolin Freedom Lesson 1: Corrina Corrina

This is my version of the classic tune, "Corrina Corrina" on the mandolin.  I play a basic version and then a more complex western swing version. I discuss chord melody, chord substitutions.  My goal is to show you how to play the mandolin in your style, any genre you wish.

Lesson 2: Sitting On Top of The World
This is another classic Mississippi Sheiks tune.  I play it in a simple country blues style.

How to buy and set up your mandolin
In this video I explain what to look for in a mandolin and how to set it up so it sounds and plays its best.  Just because a mandolin is expensive or old does not mean it is worth the price.... and new ones, regardless of price, aren't always great either. Even the finest instrument must be set up properly to play well and sound its best. Hopefully, this video will save you some money and disappointment.
