Lesson 32: Birch
In this video I discuss the medicinal uses of Birch and the qualities of Birch Beer. Birch is an excellent and effective remedy for everything from fevers and arthritis to kidney stones and diarrhea. And according to Euell Gibbons, Birch Beer "kicks like a mule"!

I've always felt drawn to birch trees. They are such a unique looking and varied type of tree.

To your knowledge, is there a better type of birch to utilize for its medicinal value? When I think birch, I usually think of paper birch. Every once and a while I will however find river birch around. Thank you for any clarification you can provide.

As always, I appreciate the videos!

As far as I know, they are interchangeable medicinally, however those that grow in higher elevations and colder climates seem to be more potent.
