Hey everyone, I've been a youtube fan of permies for a while now, but only just joinng the forums.

My wife and two boys, 3 and 1 yo and 1 in the oven, are moving to the Louisville area in the next few months. I gardened with my mother growing up, but have been wanting to move to a more rural area since I can remember. Finally, it is about to happen. Just looking for other folks who are into permaculture, homesteading and the like to introduce myself to and learn from and work with. Anyone know what the permaculture culture is like in Northern KY???

Thanks !

Jason

Hi Jason,
we live about 25 miles north east of Louisville. We have 6 acres and have been moving toward permaculture for 2 years. Don't know anyone else who is into it, but Fox Hollow Farm in Crestwood KY does Biodynamics and may be a way to connect with people. When you get ready, if you want some starts of herbs, flowers, grapes, raspberries and or elderberry i will dig some up for you to get started.
Good luck, Kris

Hello Jason & Kris,

My cousin Doug Shepard is interested in permaculture and lives in the country north of LaGrange. He is interested in meeting folks also interested in sustainable living. He can be contacted at: dougnshepard@aol.com.
