good afternoon,
I'm building a cabin and I'm drawing up the plans myself. my county does not require PE stamped drawings and I have some CAD skills (I'm a non-PE engineer myself). I am confident in my load calculations and sourcing of span/load tables.
However, I'm not as familiar with how structural plans are typically done, so I'm hoping to find some example plans that have been approved and built.
when I search around the web, I find a lot of drawings that are just architectural renders, floorplans, or maybe a few one-off structural detail drawings. However, I cannot find a complete drawing package. there are some sites that claim to be selling such drawing sets, but I'm hesitant to spend hundreds of dollars on something when I think there is a good chance that the contents might just be architectural renders or floorplans.
does anyone know where I can find a complete drawing package? Ideally, something that was actually presented to a building department and approved.
I mainly just need it as a reference for putting together my drawing set, so it can have watermarks or whatever on it. I don't actually intent do copy the design itself, but rather just the layout of the document. preferably post-and-beam house or timber frame, but anything would be helpful.
thanks
