I am looking to apprentice/intern with a farm/homestead that focuses on growing food for themselves/their family. Ideally, this would include growing staple crops like grain. corn, potatoes, legumes for protein, livestock for dairy, meat and eggs etc,  self-sufficient/locally reliant inspired systems in place for things like water, shelter, energy, tooling etc.

About Me:
Wholistic minded, student of nature, believe in living in harmony and alignment with nature in all aspects of life.

Age: 28

Home: New York State

Work History : manufacturing engineer for 4 years, then managed rental properties for about a year then started wwoofing in Feb 2025

Farming Exp:
Been wwoofing on various farms since Feb 2025, including market garden farms,  cattle and sheep ranch’s  and just homesteads.  I had a backyard gardening and chickens before that. I have read and watched TONS of videos and skimmed through many books about permaculture, reg agriculture, sustainability, homesteading etc.

What I Can Offer You:

I have experience gardening and farming, animal husbandry (cattle, sheep, chickens) physically fit, comfortable using hand tools (hammer, drill, electric saws etc) using ladders, can work with others or independently with minimal supervision.

References available upon request.

Thanks

Hi Zack, have you seen Rick Rayburn's offer? He is in Minnesota, and grows all of his own vegetables.
