Just discovered tonight that the Palm Tree on the property is a Butia Odorata (Pindo Palm / Jelly Palm) and I'm wanting to know more about its care.  I have reviewed the limited info I have found by Google Search and am interested if any Permies know the Tree.  Also if anyone has used the edible fruits I'm looking for some ideas other than the loaded sugar jelly recipes found online.  Thanks everyone (anyone) !!

Wikipedia suggests juices and ice cream so this sounds yummy.

And usually grown in Brazil ...

Today I cooked down the handful of ripe fruits, pressed them out, added agave and had a wonderful beverage … just enough ripe berries for 1 glass. Thought it was delicious !!
